Ol’ Mike B

Ol’ Mike B

Michael Brown, also known as OlmikeB, is proud to say publicly that he is a native of Norfolk, VA, the place where his love and passion for stand-up comedy was cultivated. After serving nine years as a soldier and receiving various awards for his service and valor for the United States Army, OlmikeB decided it was time to launch his comedy career.

OlmikeB’s unique, fluffy, and energetic style of humor has afforded him the opportunity to open for such acts as Queen Aishah, Michael Blackson, Anguz Black, and Tony Woods.  He first appeared on the LYGO Stage at our inaugural Sunday Brunch at Rumba Cafe on October 28, 2012.

OlmikeB started his development in comedy by hosting various venues throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In 2011, OlmikeB stepped up his game as promoter of three successful comedy shows (Let‚Äôs Go Comedy Vol. 1, Let‚Äôs Go Comedy Show Vol. 2, and New Kidz on the Block). As a result, he’s been able to showcase fellow up-and-coming comedians throughout the DMV.

In 2011, OlmikeB started his own production company called OMBvision. In 2012, OMBvision joined forces with two other production companies — Comedy Supreme and District Comedy — to produce the first annual ‚ÄúLaff Bash‚Äù where each production was represented by two of the hottest comics in the DMV.

OlmikeB welcomed the opportunity to extend his brand by becoming a regular writer for “Da Jae Spot” and the locally produced TV show “The Tommy Taylor Show”.

To date, he has included projects such as The Tommy Taylor Show, Capital Comedy Connection, and DCTV commercial “Anytime Anywhere” campaign to his resume. In addition, OlmikeB has an IMPD credit for his role in a short film “A Family Affair” written and produced by Tommy Taylor, Jr.; which was also entered in many film festivals.

OlmikeB’s future looks bright as he continues to bring the world laughter one joke at a time.
