Ryan Schutt

Ryan Schutt

This is Ryan Schutt. Or, villain from Scooby Doo… we’re looking into it.

Ryan Schutt can hit you from a lot of angles. ¬†He’s the quadruple threat of spoken word–story-telling, improv, sketch, and most-of-all, stand-up. ¬†Ryan has a distinct attitude, style, and voice that translates to a broad audience because just as it rails against the outside world, he empathizes with its failings and sees them in his own.

Still young, the breadth of material focusing on things that bother him, getting bothered by things, and the relationship between himself and things that are bothersome is ever-expanding. And if ask him after a show, you’ll be glad to hear, “it is clearly everything else that has a problem, not me.”

Ryan performed at the 2012 North Carolina Comedy Arts, Boston Comedy Arts, and Cape Fear Comedy Festivals as well as the “The Alyona Show” on Russia Today and “The Stream” on Al Jazeera.

Ryan was born and raised in Washington, D.C., where he regularly performs. Ryan first appeared on the LYGO stage on October 14, 2012 at Flava and is currently Emcee to all LYGO shows. Check him out on Twitter @ryan_schutt and his website
