The old saw, cliche?, is comedy is tragedy + time. ¬†Nate Johnson’s beginning — as beginning as it gets — wasn’t funny. He was born with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, and suffered brain damage as a result. ¬†But if it’s limited Nate, we can’t tell.
He’s gone on to become a lawyer, lifeguard (two saves), actor, improviser, and comedian.
As a comedian, he’s performed at the Lincoln Theater (Washington, D.C.), State Theater (Falls Church), Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse, and a litany of other venues on the east coast. One of those other venues was Bohemian Caverns on September 9, 2012 when he shared stage with Tony Woods and absolutely rocked the crowd.
He has an unusual perspective and a wealth of varied life experience — both tragic and hilarious — and the LYGO family is excited to have him return to the stage for the inaugural Comedy at Codmother on November 7, 2012.
